My professional career as a licensed cosmetologist began back in 2005 after graduating from Madison Cosmetology College. However, I've been living the salon life since 2003 working as a receptionist in a salon for two years before going to college.
​I've received advanced education in Chicago, IL and Minneapolis, MN with companies and educators from Matrix, Rusk, Redken, Pravana, Goldwell, Pulp Riot, Ardell and so many more. I am always eager to learn and fine tune my craft.
I specialize in haircutting, coloring, and formal updos and styles. I look forward to the opportunity to serve all of my guests here at the salon!
I chose to open Genesis in 2011 with the support of my husband and family. I have always felt so blessed to have the support from our small community who have become like family to me over the years.
​When I am not at the salon, I am spending time with my husband and our three children. The kids keep both of us busy with all their sport activities they are involved in. We are a very big sports family! We also love anything outdoors like camping, hiking, and tending to our property at home.
***Fun Fact- we have a vineyard, orchard, and garden on our property.

I began my career in 2009 after completing formal training from Southwest Wisconsin Technical College in Fennimore, WI.
​
I am a firm believer that education is important in this industry to keep growing both professionally and as an individual. Some of the advanced training I have completed includes; Redken Specialist Training, annual training in Chicago, IL , Lake Geneva, WI, Lash Extension certification, Cinderella Hair Extensios & Matrix.
​
Behind the chair I find so much passion working with color. The ability to transform one's overall look through the use of color is amazing. Working with children also fills my heart with so much joy. Their honest little souls never cease to amaze me. I am always welcoming new clients and love to meet new people at the salon.

Outside of the salon I am a mother of 2 boys and a wife. Our family is originally from Northcentral Wisconsin but have made a home here in Boscobel back in 2006. My 3 guys love sports, I love watching them play their sports more than the professionals or college athletes.
I am an entrepreneur at heart and run a small business out of our home with an amazing friend.
**Fun fact: We raise Beef, Pigs, Bison year round

Tierra
Stylist
Growing up I always loved playing with hair and doing hairstyles on myself and friends. I later job shadowed with my cousin at her salon and loved the atmosphere, at which point I realized that I wanted to pursue a career in Cosmetology.
After graduating from Fennimore High School I decided to make my way to Fond du Lac to attend Moraine Park Technical College. I graduated and finished my certification to be a licensed Cosmetologist a little over a year ago, in 2021. Once I finished my schooling I wasn't quite sure where I wanted to go after graduation or where I wanted to work, but I made my way back to the southwest corner of Wisconsin where I found an amazing position here at Genesis. I go through continuing education a few times a year to keep up with the trendy colors and cuts, as well as helping to better my knowledge in the hair industry as a whole. One of my biggest goals and ambitions is to help everyone that sits in my chair, no matter the person, feel more confident in themselves through their hair.
When I am not behind the chair rocking a new color or cut for you, I am hanging out with friends, spending time with family or just being home relaxing.
I am so excited to continue my career here at Genesis and continue to grow with such an amazing team and my second family!

Kelsey
Stylist
After completing my formal training at The Salon Professional Academy in Onalaska, I began my career at JcPenny's Salon in Richland Center. After their closure I moved my talents to the Aveda Salon in Viroqua where I spent 7 years growing my skills behind the chair. Both salon experiences brought me so much knowledge and the ability to hone in my skills. While working with Aveda as the acting manager, I also taught classes on clipper cutting.
​
I love helping everyone look and feel their best, finding a real passion for lived in coloring, Blonding and clipper cutting, however, I do not believe in limiting myself to specific services as I enjoy being able to provide a vast variety for my clients.
​
Outside of the salon I am happily married to a Boscobel native, we have an amazing little girl and a baby on the way.
Fun fact: I have my motorcycle license and had pet squirrels
Tayler
Stylist
I am so excited to begin my career and share my passion with all the guests here at Genesis. As a soon to be graduate from Southwest Tech, I am eager to learn from this talented team and see where the industry takes me.
​
I love creating lived in colors- both light and dark tones. Gel polish and spray tanning have both been services I have truly enjoyed doing as well. Most of all I have definitely fallen in love with the ability to help each guest who sits in my chair, become more confident. Whether that is being able to help them grow as a person through building a relationship with them or just helping them overcome their frustrations and struggles with their hair.

Aside from all of that I am extremely excited to meet you all and build a lifelong relationship with those who sit in my chair and choose me as their stylist.
Outside of the salon I love spending time with my family, friends, my fiancé and my dogs.
